John Galt School
New economic school - Georgia in cooperation with the Balkan Objectivist Center and the University of Georgia, have the pleasure of announcing the hosting of the second School of Objectivism in Tbilisi!
John Galt School is named after the main character of Ayn Rand’s magnum opus, “Atlas Shrugged”, which was first published in 1957. Atlas Shrugged is the most erudite embodiment of the theory of Objectivism from Rand and the frontispiece of her novels, inspiring millions of readers worldwide.
JGS is an esteemed educational program established by the Balkan Objectivist Center in 2016 and has been welcomed by sixteen countries ever since. This year it will be held in our country for the first time.
We are looking for young, motivated people interested in philosophy, ethics, economy and politics, and fluent in English. The program is especially addressed to those who have a particular interest for classical liberalism and relevant streams of thought, such as Objectivism.
The participants will have the opportunity to be furnaced with Ayn Rand’s theory, the basic elements of her philosophy, and the impact of objectivistic ideas in today’s world. In addition there will be an emphasis on how philosophy and ideas can be implemented in one’s life for personal growth and professional success. This will be achieved by taking part in a complete program consisted of 9 lectures revolved around the ideas of reason and individualism, webinars and participation in workshops (book club). Participants will also receive plenty of relevant material such as related books and articles.
